WoW Games - War of Wizards

Firstly thanks to everyone who has been busy posting on the WDG group with their suggestions on what can be done for the relaunch of WoW! There have been many fantastic suggestions posted over the last week. We have been capturing them all for later discussion as soon as we are ready.

At mimimum Harry or I will be posting a quick update at least weekly with our progress be it small or large so you know where we are at and what is happening next.

So this week, Harry and I have caught up and discussed mainly the web site structure and what needs to be done to complete the population of all the key static content we have and the theme. As you can probably tell it is pretty basic at the moment. Any suggestions always welcome.

I have been working in the background to get all the code to compile again on the new server. Turns out the compilers of 2009 are a bit more strict than the compilers of 2000 which were on the last server. So nearly everything that we plan to move over to the new version now at least compiles. Also from an infrastucture point of view we now have regular backups taking place which is always a good thing!!!

Key next steps for the weeks ahead are, Harry working on is the migration of the key static content, and myself on designing and building a new signup engine.
