New Game - Sign Ups Being Accepted
Submitted by David Harris on Wed, 02/10/2010 - 21:25For the moment, most of the stuff we are testing is back end and not in game. We are happy to start up a second of the relaunch playtest games when the demand comes. With 6 people knocked out of the current game and the potential of bringing in a few more old/new players, I’m going to start gathering a list of names for game 2. We won’t start it too soon though, as we don’t want to overburden the players in the current game who may also want to play game 2.
Forums and Polls
Submitted by David Harris on Thu, 01/28/2010 - 00:30Hi,
We have got forums up and running on the website along with polls. We would appreciate people logging onto www.wowgames.net.au and testing them out. The “Forum” and “Poll” section can be found under “Community” on the menu on the left. You need to create a login and password to post items (which at the moment is not integrated with the WoW Account, User Name/Password).

WoW Update 16/9/09
Submitted by David Harris on Wed, 09/16/2009 - 22:08Hi Guys,
The big news is, we're about to start the first play test. Initially, the game won't look any different to the old one but it is testing all the back end coding. As the game progresses, we will be trying to implement features such as systems allowing turns to run automatically once all orders are recieved/all players check a run turn box.
WoW Update 26/8/09
Submitted by David Harris on Thu, 08/27/2009 - 02:44Hi guys,
Another update on WoW progress and a chance for input. The sign-up system and the back end data-base surrounding it, are almost complete. You guys will soon be able to do your first bit of testing by SIGNING UP!!!! Not particularly exciting I know, but it will lead into some real play testing. On the subject of play testing I've currently got expressions of interest from;
Jay
Rob Newcombe (Rathnagz)
Darrell Lias
Darrell Penning
Neufeld, John Jeff
dhillwheal
S Kennerley
John Weaver
Aaron Schwarz
Göran Örnhed
Drop me a mail if you want your name added to the list.
WoW - They Way Forward
Submitted by David Harris on Thu, 08/06/2009 - 06:04Hi Guys,
Good to see so many of you are still floating around and interested in the WoW project. I'm just finishing up an MBA at Oxford University, so hopefully I have learnt something useful to apply to WoW. Having had a break from WoW, it's really good to be able to have a fresh look at it. Technology has advanced somewhat since we started the project 14 years ago, so hopefully some of our old ideas may now be more realistic to implement. Some good points have been emailed through the WDG already and to summarise;
